Arch of Septimus Severus at Dougga. A bit off the path, but a beautiful walk. Triumphal arch of first African emperor Septimus Severus (ruled 193-211 AD). Erected in his honour after Dougga was made municipium, giving some degree of rights of Roman citizenship.
