Santa Prisca Church, Taxco

The church of Sta. Prisca in Taxco. Those spires showed up from every angle of the colonia city.

"The remarkable speed with which this parish church was built (between February 1751 and December 1758) partly explains its unity of style and balance of forms; another reason was that its donor engaged the finest artists and stonemasons of the time. It was don José de la Borda, a prominent 18th century mining entrepreneur who ordered the construction of this magnificent church."
